Quiz FAQ
Below are frequently asked questions related to the quiz. Please refer to the questions below if you are confused about the quiz questions.
What industry are you working in?
The question asks for the user's field of expertise and industry that the project will be created in. If none of the answers match your answer, there is an "Others" option as well. This question is used to gather information about what type of industry and environment the project is going to be in, as different project management tools specialize with different industries.

What is the size of your team and/or project?
This question essentially wants to get a gist of how big the team that will be using the project management tool is. For example, if you are a CEO of an enterprise company and wants everyone to switch to a better project management tool, the team size would be larger compared to a project manager at the same enterprise company leading a team of 15 looking to use a project management tool for the team's new project. In the above scenarios, the first user would select "Enterprise" while the latter would select "Medium". This question is important as some project management tools might not scale well with larger volume of users while some project management tools are not great for individual small teams.

How much experience do you have with project management tools?
This Select One Question asks for the user's expertise with project management tools. This helps the quiz gather information about whether or not the user has any background with using such tools before. The user should use their own judgement on how comfortable they are with using project management tools. This question is useful as some tools are better for beginners with simpler lingo and "drag-and-drop" features while some tools are better for more advanced users who would like to utilize advanced features of such tools.

Would you prefer free or paid project management tools?
This question ultimately allows the user to express their preferences over whether they are willing to purchase a subscription for a project management tool. The user also has the ability to select "Doesn't Matter", where they do not mind whether they use a free tool or a paid tool. Essentially, a paid tool often is more robust and has more features while a free tool only has the basics. Please keep in mind that even if you selected the "Free Only" or "Paid Only" option, you might still be suggested "paid" and "free" options respectively based on your answers to previous and future questions. However, most paid tools also have options for a free trial and some tools even have a "free" option if a team only has up to a certain number of members.

What are important agile objectives for you?
This purpose of this question is to determine what agile objectives the user wants to target. Agile methodology is a type of project management process where demands and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing and cross-functional teams and their customers. Communication refers to the ability to communicate with another member on the tool platform. Collaboration refers to the ability to have inter and intra-team collaboration that allow multiple users to work on a particular delegated task. Time management refers to whether or not the tool has the ability to delegate tasks for a certain time period, involving deadlines or updates. Visibility provides transparency into the development process. It is the ability to see progress at any point and determine the distance to completion of a goal. Visibility provides status of not only the progress of the project, but the product itself. Lastly, accountability refers to an individual responsibility, a team responsibility, and an enterprise responsibility. Team members are mutually accountable not only to each other for what they said they would do, but also for holding each other accountable to their team working agreement.

Is a task management feature important?
Task Management in a project management tool is used for organizing and prioritizing different tasks that are delegated to different users or sub-teams.

Is a project reporting feature important?

Is a mobile app important?
This question essentially asks about whether or not the project management tool should also have a fully-functional mobile application along with its desktop website for its users such that they could also access the application to work or update their progress on their mobile phones instead of only on computers.

Is integration with other services important?
Integration with other services is defined by the project management tool's ability to interact and incorporate other software together. One example would be integration with GSuite, where project updates can be sent to one's Gmail and task management can be scheduled alongside users' Google Calendar.

Is a client access feature important?
Some industries work on projects that their clients request. It might be more useful if the client can also access the project management tool and see the workflow of the project, and possibly budget management and allocation, especially if they are funding a massive project.

Is a file sharing feature important?
File sharing is the ability to upload files onto the project management tool and share it with other peers without the use of third-party applications like Google Drive or DropBox.

Is it important to have different types of views/boards (eg. Kanban Boards)?
There are many different types of "boards" in project management tools. Some examples include product roadmaps, and Kanban boards. This question asks about whether or not the incorporation of multiple options of such boards is important and whether or not it is also important to be able to create multiple boards. For example, an enterprise would want their individual teams to have the choice to choose between what board/view/roadmap they would like to use, and at the same time, the enterprise can't only have one board for all the projects.

Is a Customization Feature Important?
Some project management tool users would love to be able to customize the tools to their preferences, or even something like "light" and "dark" modes.

Is a Gantt Chart feature important?
A Gantt Chart is a chart in which a series of horizontal lines shows the amount of work done or production completed in certain periods of time in relation to the amount planned for those periods. Some teams find this chart/board extremely helpful with their project planning and time management, while others will never use it and prefer sticking to Kanban Boards, per se.

This question refers to whether or not a direct customer service email or hotline is available 24/7 in case anything happens or the users have any questions about the tool and its features.
Is a budgeting feature important?
This question refers to whether a budgeting feature is needed. This could be an important feature for some project teams or companies because they might be working with a tight and constraint budget and would need to keep track of how much money each sub-task would require.
